After the swim, the men from Poissy Triathlon Anthony Pujades and Antoine Duval made the difference in the first part of the cycling circuit. But the ascent of the 21 bends has been cruel to the favorites, in difficulty in the mythical climb. It was finally Mathis Margirier and Anatole Giraud who led the debates until T2. At the end of a tough battle on the run, Anatole Giraud took the lead to win for the first time in Alpe d'Huez, ahead of Mathis Margirier. The podium is completed by the Spanish Cesc Godoy.
In the women's category, the biggest performance came from Switzerland. Julie Derron, having finished fourth yesterday on the format Long Distance, showed all his power on the bike to win in front of Cécile Lejeune. Despite a beautiful run, Lejeune did not manage to come back but nevertheless obtained a magnificent 2nd place (after winning the duathlon on Tuesday), ahead of Pauline Chagnon.
