"Being "faithful" to the Alpe d'Huez events, we have very good contacts with the organisers, who quite naturally told us about this contest. We talked to our members at our general meeting about it, then we communicated a lot about it by proposing a very simple group registration on our club interface. In a few clicks, the member was pre-registered, and then the club took over for the entire administrative aspect.
The club was created in 1988, at the time under the name of the TIM (Triathlon Issy-les-Moulineaux), before changing to "Issy Triathlon" in the early 2000s. At the end of the 90s, the creation of the triathlon school was a founding axis: this school has grown well, to the point that Issy Triathlon is now the 1st club in the National Youth Ranking, since already 2 years. Over the past ten years, the entire club has experienced remarkable growth, from 197 members in 2009 to 642 today!
With an extremely committed management team, a high quality coaching team (26 qualified coaches) and infrastructures that meet the expectations of our 3 main categories of members, we claim to be a club that is accessible to all:
- young athletes (200), with our 3-star Triathlon School
- the elite, with this year, for the first time in the club's history, our 4 teams in french 1st league (triathlon / duathlon, women / men)
- Leisure adults, of all levels and all types of distances (short, long, healthy sports...)
In the end, we have varied profiles, from beginners to WTS athletes, and from 7 to 75 years old. Despite the number of members, we want to keep a friendly attitude. We all enjoy sharing good moments during the training camps, events such as the club's 30th anniversary in 2018 or our barbecue, which is a huge success every year.
Thanks to the support of Issy-les-Moulineaux, we swim in the city's 2 swimming pools. Cycling training is done in the Chevreuse Valley or around the Longchamp racecourse. The run takes place on Issy and the surrounding parks: Suzanne Lenglen, Ile St-Germain and Parc de St-Cloud."
