Like all outdoor sports, triathlons push athletes' skin to the limit, and this is especially true when it comes to sun exposure. Although the benefits of spending time in the sun may be many, unprotected exposure to UV rays can present serious risks over the long term. This is even more the case for triathletes or cyclists, who are exposed for long hours while both training and competing. This means that taking care of your skin on the Alpine peaks at the end of July is an absolute must! Working in collaboration with Alpe d’Huez, La Roche-Posay will be present at different strategic points along the track to supply triathletes with the necessary high protection to prevent sun-induced damage. "This unprecedented partnership is very important for triathletes. Our desire here in the organisation is to continually improve the quality of the experience for our participants. This initiative entirely keeps with this intention. We are of course extremely proud to gain the trust of such a reputable brand," confirms Cyrille Neveu.
That's not all – far from it. La Roche-Posay is also attending the event in order to meet and get to know the triathletes, and to understand their specific needs. In order to intensify its collaboration with athletes, the brand is searching for triathletes willing to accept and test the La Roche Posay "skin training kit". This kit, specially developed with triathletes (actually with the members of 'La Grosse', the Canal+ Triathlon Team and some of the best triathletes of the Alpe d'Huez), contains products that are indispensable for taking care of your skin, from training period right through to after the race. The idea is simple: 20 triathletes registered for the 2017 Alpe d’Huez Triathlon will be selected to receive their free kit. Go to the following link to apply to this program.
