La Roche-Posay is back as triathletes' partner in their experience at Alpe d'Huez

La Roche Posay ensures the solar protection of the participants of the TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez 2018
This year, La Roche-Posay return as a partner of all Alpe d’Huez triathletes! After the success of the partnership last year and following the fantastic feedback from participants, we are very proud to announce La Roche-Posay's on-going commitment to the TIME Triathlon of Alpe d'Huez. La Roche-Posay will bring their invaluable dermatological expertise to all competing athletes, helping to protect their skin and better their performance!

″In 2017, we performed an experiment. For many years, our participants suffered burns and skin lesions from exposure to the sun due to hot race conditions. We, in partnership with La Roche-Posay, wanted to change this! We made sure free sun-protection was readily available before and throughout the races. The results were amazing! I really believe our athletes are beginning to understand the importance of sun protection during their races. " says Cyrille Neveu, director of the race.

Athletes and triathletes, in particular, are particularly at risk from skin cancer due to their long-term exposure to UV radiation throughout their training and competitions. La Roche-Posay are trying to educate athletes around the importance of protecting their skin. Wearing sun protection should be as essential as using sports nutrition or the wearing a bicycle helmet!

As last year, La Roche-Posay products will be available throughout the week on the following strategic points:

DUATHLON : Departure (Bourg d'Oisans)

TRIATHLON CHILDREN (with an adapted product) : Entrance to the Bike park (Alpe d'Huez swimming pool)
