The editions of the race follow one another but never look alike. We barely had time to close the 13th when we were already launching the inscriptions for the 14th! However, we always take the time to analyze the situation and for the past two years, we have been using a satisfaction survey to help us correct and improve the event. The following are some of the key findings of the 2018 survey. Thanks to all those who helped and trusted us (713 participants replied).
The most important: the whole satisfaction rate
94% of participants are satisfied or very satisfied with their experience at the TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez, the same level of satisfaction as last year. We continue to believe that this satisfaction level is our most valuable capital to develop the event!
Quality/price ratio, a priority
67% of the triathletes surveyed are satisfied or very satisfied with the quality/price ratio of the race. This is a positive result but our mission is clear: to improve this subjective perception by increasing the level and quality of services (especially for triathletes packs).
The 2018 circuit, strong and weak points
Logically, the TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez cycling routes are particularly popular, with an average score of 9.3/10 (the highest in the entire survey!). The swimming part is not to be underestimated, with a score of 8.76/10. On this point, the starting procedure and fluidity can be improved, we have taken note of all the comments we have received on this subject. Finally, the Running circuit obtained the lowest score with a "small" 7.74/10... The reason for this disappointment is however easy to identify; the construction works in the resort during the festival having seriously altered the participants' experience. Good news: for the 2019 edition, the building sites should be finished.
Our volunteers, your heroes!
Once again, we received many comments of thanks after the event for our team of volunteers. This year, the service and attention given to triathletes received a superb score of 9.06/10. We consider this a fundamental point as the general experience of triathletes is also based on this aspect. We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our volunteers.
73% of triathletes say they will return
The charm of the 21 bends: nearly 3/4 of the participants are convinced that they will come back to the event one day to challenge the 21 bends again. Moreover, 66% of triathletes have opted for the myth of the most famous climb of the Tour de France as one of the main reasons for their participation... Alpe d'Huez never disappoints!
