It is all about this: a SPIRIT. While the TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez continues to progress, little by little, it is important today to claim a spirit of triathlon that brings together more and more triathletes. On the program: authenticity, respect of the values of sport, human experiences and vision of the future. Cyrille Neveu, race director, explains this orientation: "We had already received proposals to partner with other events, be part of LD circuits or join a franchise. But until now, we have had some concerns, worried about preserving our difference and our independence. The Spirit Tri Series approach changes the game. The inclusive concept and this idea of moving all the actors in the discipline forward in the same direction seemed very relevant to us at a time when triathlon needs new formulas to develop. »
The strength of the Spirit Tri Series lies in its function as a platform between coaches, elite or amateur athletes, brands in the sector and clubs. It is this dimension that seduced the TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez, which will be the alpine summit for this entire community of enthusiasts. At the heart of the project are two great names in world triathlon, Daniela Ryf (four-time Ironman World Champion) and Nicola Spirig (London Olympic Champion). Both are involved to bring their help and experience. One of the main objectives is to support and structure professional sport, which sometimes suffers from a certain precariousness. Daniela leads one of the 6 professional teams entered in the championship (age groups can also form teams, or choose to wear the 'maillot' of their favorite pro team). Logically, this will considerably increase the pro field level of each race.
In 2019, the Spirit Tri Series includes 4 dates:
14 April 2019 - International Triathlon Portocolom, Mallorca, Spain
30 June 2019 - EBERL Chiemsee Triathlon, Germany
25 July 2019 - TIME Triathlon Alpe d'Huez, France
25 August 2019 - TRANS Vorarlberg Triathlon, Austrian National Championships
